When is the run?

What is the distance?

Half Marathon, 5K/10K/1K

Is it Certified and Sanctioned?

Yes, the 5K, 10K and Half marathon course is certified (professionally measured) and sanctioned every year through the USATF (United States Track & Field). (Half Marathon course is pending certification as of 10/13/19)

Is the race director certified?

Yes, the race director received certification 12/16 through RRCA (Road Runners Club of America)

How much does it cost?

Half Marathon; $45 before 2/25/19

$50 until 3/7/19

$55 March 8-9, 2019

10K; $35 before 2/25/19

$40 until 3/7/19

5K $30 before Feb 25, 2019

Where is the run?

Centennial Trail Trailhead in Lake Stevens East of Mt. Pilchuck Elementary

Can I walk?

Yes, all participants in all races must be off the trial by 11:00am

What time does it start?

6:15am: Vendor Set-up

6:45am-7:55am: Registration/packet pickup opens

7:00am: Half Marathon

7:55am: C Trail Kids .5 mile (10 & under) begins

8:05: Runner Warm Up

8:15am: 10K begins

8:20am: 5K begins

9:10am: Half Marathon, 5K and 10K awards given. Top 3 male and female in each category. Top 3 awards in male and female in each age group.

11:00am: All Race participants must be off the course/vendor take down (earlier if race director determines all participants are done)

Can I register the day of?

Yes, registration opens at 6:45am

Where do I park?

There is parking at the trailhead, and street parking nearby, and Mt. Pilchuck Elementary at 12708 20th St NE, Lake Stevens.

What sizes do the T- shirts come in?

Men's and women's shirts, sized small, medium, large, extra large, XXL, and XXXL

What is the fabric of the T-shirts?

They are a short sleeve sportec shirts

What does the money raised go towards?

This event will help to increase Chamber visibility in the community as well as supporting chamber events and operation of the chamber office, and a portion of the proceeds goes towards the Stephen R. Covey Leader in Me Program present in some of our schools

How many years has this run been going on?

Since 2012 (There was no race in 2013) 2014-present

Are there swag bags?

No

Can I sponsor this event?

Yes. There are three tiers of sponsorship

Elite Running Shoe: $500

Sneaker: $250

Flip Flop: $100

What if it rains?

The run will be held rain or shine (or snow!)

How do I register?

Online at www.lakestevenschamber.com, where you will be directed to active.com for registration.

What form of payment do you take?

credit card, cash is preferred March 8th & 9th

Is it a chipped run?

Yes, timed by Tortoise and Hare

Do the top winners get an award?

There is a prize for the top 3 winners winners of the Half Marathon, 5K & 10K

There are age category prizes as well

Are there medals?

Yes, all finishers will receive a laser-cut medal

How many people can register?

We have a maximum of 500 who can receive medals.

Can kids and pets run and walk?

Yes. Kids must be registered (unless in a stroller, and we ask they start towards the back) Dogs are not allowed per our USATF insurance

How is this event being publicized?

Through numerous ways including; the chamber office and website, various running sites, local newspapers, sports facilities, and through 75+ local business with posters and registration forms at each.

Are there porta potty's?

Yes, there is an ADA porta potty plus 5-7 porta potties at the start and finish line. There is also a restroom at the Machias Park (at approximately 2.75 mile marker). There is also an additional porta potty towards the turn of the Half Marathon.

Will there be an aid car there?

Local EMT is close by, and we will have a medic on site, as well as bikers on the trail with phones and first aid packs.

Will there be hydration stations?

Yes, there will be water near mile 1.5, mile 3 and mile 4.5

Will there be fuel stations?

No fuel on course, but there will be at the finish line

Will there be mile markers along the way?

Yes

Can I sign up to volunteer?

Yes, on the website at lakestevenschamber.com

Do volunteers get anything for their time?

A big thank you! And snacks!

Will it be safe to cross the roads during the run?

The run on the C trial crosses over some roads, there will be road guards at each road.

What if I get injured during the run?

We have a medic on site

Will there be a gear check?

Yes, we can keep small items if you provide your own bag, or small items can go into the race envelope and we can keep that for you.

Can I pick up my registration packet early?

Yes, we highly recommend it

Is there adequate parking on site?

We can fit about 120 cars at the trail head at 13205 20th St. NE

There is street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood

and overflow parking at Mt. Pilchuck Elementary
