Jack Sahlbom is a member of
the American Legion Post 181. He was awarded a
Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service to
our country during World War II and the Korean
conflict. Mr. Sahlbom was instrumental in
establishing the war memorial in downtown Lake
Stevens. Listed below are just some of his
lifelong accomplishments:
• In 1952 he organized a reception for Dwight D.
Eisenhower
• Eagle Scout
• 50+ year member of Lions Club
• Charter President of Snohomish County Kidney
Foundation, 1967
• Owned Maple Lane Tree Farm and donated all the
proceeds of the farm to local charities, closed
in 2004.
