Benefits of Joining the Chamber of Commerce

Chamber Website

  • New updated website will enhance the businesses and the community of Lake Stevens.
  • The Chamber will continue investing money to promote the businesses of Lake Stevens and have a marketing program to get individuals outside Lake Stevens and from Lake Stevens looking for information about schools, business and events in our community to use this site as a “best reference guide.”
  • New feature that will allow Chamber members to have reviews for their business and to have information regarding all the services they provide. This will allow visitors to gain more information about Chamber businesses than those just listed in the directory. (it’s like having a bigger ad in the yellow pages with rave reviews vs. a one line directory ad.
  • This is all FREE to Chamber members!

Chamber Business Exposition

  • Chamber sponsored event Free to the Chamber members in which businesses can "showcase" their company at a community event.
  • There are free prizes to the community for coming.
  • Head line speaker that attends the event for the public such as Ciscoe Morris, or others the public comes to hear talk while visiting the individual business of Lake Stevens.

Educational Classes

  • The Chamber provides low cost educational classes for its members and member’s employees. The Chamber helps co-sponsor the educational classes to make them accessible to all its members and allow owners to bring all or several employees into classes. Educating and providing learning opportunities to staff aids in the retention of those key employees.
  • Typical classes may include: Quick Books (a 4 part series for beginners, intermediate and advanced); Microsoft Office classes for Excel, Word, Publisher, etc.; Human resources class; plus many other valuable classes.

Medical and Long Term Care Benefits

  • The Chamber has negotiated group rates for small businesses so they can collectively get discounted rates for its members and employees. This helps many small businesses be more competitive and retain employees.

Annual Leadership Breakfast Round Table

  • The Chamber connects individual business owners and its members with community leaders, Elected Government officials from our area, and inspirational speakers to communicate the direction of our community and have the opportunity to connect with the needs business community.

Annual Chamber Gala Ball, Inauguration Dinner and Auction

  • A yearly event in which Chamber businesses, employees and prominent community members get together and have an evening out together with special entertainment.
  • New board members are announced as well as the Business and Business Leader of the year.
  • There are also many special items to watch and bid on. This provides a great evening for members to meet and promote business.

After Hours Social Mixers

  • Your business and others will have the opportunity to conduct mixers at your place of business and other locations. For many businesses, this builds business relationships as well as promotes your business to the leaders of the community.
  • This also allows business owners and staff an opportunity to network with similar business or connect with potential clients.
  • If you don’t feel comfortable putting on an event by yourself many times two businesses will co-host an event.

The Ambassadors Club

  • Ambassadors welcome the newest members of the Chamber to educate, involve them in the Chamber and to reinforce the value of Chamber membership. They act as representatives of the Chamber at functions and events and actively promote the Chamber through their community involvements. Ambassadors participate in and provide much needed and appreciated support for activities such as Business after Hours and other Chamber events.

Discounts in the Community

  • Upon joining the Chamber there are many discounts available to promote your business to the community. So whether you are a new business looking to gain public awareness of your new business or a business already established in the community looking to have a grand reopening there are discounts to help you get noticed.

  • The Chamber offers a free bio in the newsletter and your first flyer inserted in the newsletter for free ($25 value).
  • The Lake Stevens Journal offers a certificate for a "buy one ad and get one ad free."
  • Foster Press offers a $10 off certificate for new members.
  • The Everett Herald offers up to $500.00 dollars in matching advertising funds.

Monthly Chamber Meeting

  • On the second Monday of each month the Chamber businesses meet to connect with other members and to benefit from an informative meeting with networking opportunities.
  • The meeting usually connects the members with an informative speaker that adds value to businesses, or keeps the members aware of upcoming events in the community which businesses members might be able to participate in.
  • Provides direct access to community leaders that give insight on the direction of our community or possibly discuss concerns you might have about the community.

Membership Placard

  • Placards may be prominently displayed in your place of business to show that you are a Chamber member.

New Resident Packets

  • You can include information about your company in our new resident relocation packets FREE of charge.

Newsletter Inserts

  • For $25 your company can provide a digital flier to the Chamber office and have it sent with the monthly newsletter (first time free to new members).

Mailing Labels

  • If you prefer to do your own mailing, we can provide you with a set of Chamber address labels for only $10.00 (first set free upon request to new members).

Economic Development

  • Working to retain, expand and strengthen existing business and job opportunities which benefit the "Quality of Life" in the community.

Seminars

  • Hosting or co-sponsoring seminars on topics that have an impact on the business community.
