Massage for Veterans

In appreciation for the sacrifice of all veterans living in our community, the 2014 Aquafest board is pleased to partner with Lake Stevens based M:E.L.T. MASSAGE to offer complimentary chair massages to all active/retired veterans of foreign wars and their spouses during

Aquafest on Sunday, July 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The booth will be located on Main Street, in downtown Lake Stevens near City Hall. Veterans will receive their massage on a first come/first served basis.  For questions prior to the event, please contact M:E.L.T. MASSAGE at 425-299-9745.  Thank you for your service. Welcome Home.

Aquafest Wins Gold

During the 2014 Washington Festival and Event Association convention held in March, the WFEA awarded Aquafest with three Gold medals for the 2013 Lake Stevens Journal Insert, the 2013 Aquafest Event Brochure and the Vendor/Supplier Relationship with Foster Press of Lake Stevens.  The WFEA oversees festivals throughout Washington, and Aquafest competes against other events of the same size and budget.  2014 Aquafest President, Lisa Elder, says “I’m thrilled that Aquafest was awarded.  It recognizes the hard work of 2013 President Sue Fernald, the Aquafest Board and the value that we put on our relationships with sponsors and vendors like the Lake Stevens Journal and Foster Press”.  The Aquafest board is a volunteer organization and community members are encouraged to participate in planning the three day event held every July. Pre-events such as the 2014 Miss Aquafest Pageant and Aquafest Idol Contest begin in May.  The 2014 festival, “All American Aquafest” will be held on July 25, 26, 27 in downtown Lake Stevens and information can be found at
